NanoMythos
This technical note reports a small-scale pretraining validation of a Claude-Mythos-inspired recurrent-depth architecture. The goal is not to claim that Claude uses this exact design. Instead, we use the open-source OpenMythos implementation as an architectural hypothesis, transplant its recurrent-depth idea into a nanowhale / DeepSeek-V4-style small language model, and test whether the resulting model improves held-out perplexity under a controlled pretraining setup.
