Every TypeScript function directly under /functions (/functions/*.ts) is deployed individually to a unique URL. Functions that are within subfolders are not deployed as individual serverless functions, rather they are bundled into the actual serverless functions. An extension of .protected.ts ensures the deployed function is only invokable by Twilio webhooks. Each function can reference each other relatively from under the /functions directory.
