Palamedes is an open-source Goal Discovery and Goal Synthesis Engine that generates novel, detailed, and actionable missions before planning begins. It operates before the traditional planner → task → implementation pipeline by discovering opportunities, generating competing goal hypotheses, refining them into justified missions, attempting to falsify them, and passing only the surviving mission to downstream planners and agents. Palamedes is currently a research-beta project exploring autonomous goal generation, mission synthesis, and pre-planning reasoning.
