Reference implementation of durable execution patterns (signals, queries, saga pattern, idempotency, replay-safe determinism) using Temporal, applied to an agentic triage workflow.
The answer is durable execution. State lives in an event history on the server, not in your process, so a restarted worker picks up exactly where the old one died. It does not replay the expensive calls it already paid for, and it does not fire the side effects it already fired.
