Your AI agent (Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, ZCode, …) loads skills at startup by reading each folder's SKILL.md frontmatter. When a skill is broken, nothing crashes — it is silently dropped. The folder sits on your disk; your agent never sees it.
