context-engine is engineering infrastructure for building retrieval, memory, and context-aware AI systems. The backend is built with FastAPI and provides document ingestion, hybrid retrieval, evidence-context assembly, streaming chat, deep research, and runtime configuration APIs. The actively maintained frontend is web-tanstack/; the legacy web/ Next.js app is kept only for historical compatibility and feature-migration reference.
